"Keretapi Sarong"; literally "Sarong Train" in Malay, is an annual cultural flash mob held on Malaysia Day (16 September). Thousands dress in the traditional sarong — whether batik, pelikat, songket or sari, along with baju Melayu, kebaya, cheongsam, baju kurung and indigenous wear, then converge on rail stations and ride trains together to a "Secret Location."

Once they arrive: performances, flash-mob choreography, joget lambak, sarong fashion shows, traditional games, patriotic singalongs and food bazaars.
