10 Countries That Use AI Tools the Most
Americans are using AI tools the most in the world with 26.9 billion visits.
Artificial intelligence (AI) tools have become an increasingly important part of everyday life, education, business, and work around the world. According to data presented by Visual Capitalist, AI tool websites received 125.7 billion visits globally in 2025, showing how quickly interest in AI has grown.
The data ranks countries according to the number of visits to AI tool websites and their percentage of total global visits.
The United States recorded the highest number of visits, with 26.9 billion visits, representing 21.4% of global AI tool website traffic. This means that more than one-fifth of all recorded visits came from the United States.
India ranked second, with 12.0 billion visits, or 9.5% of the global total. Brazil followed in third place with 7.0 billion visits, accounting for 5.6%. Together, these three countries represented a significant portion of worldwide AI tool traffic.
European countries also appeared prominently in the ranking. Germany recorded 4.6 billion visits (3.6%), followed by the United Kingdom with 3.8 billion (3.1%) and France with 3.4 billion (2.7%).
Meanwhile, Japan recorded 3.3 billion visits (2.6%), and Canada had 3.0 billion visits (2.4%). These figures demonstrate that AI tools are being accessed extensively across both developed and emerging economies.
Southeast Asia also showed strong activity. Indonesia ranked sixth overall, recording 3.7 billion visits, equivalent to 2.9% of global AI tool website traffic. The Philippines ranked tenth with 2.9 billion visits (2.3%). Their positions highlight the growing importance of AI tools in rapidly digitalizing societies.
However, these figures should be interpreted carefully. Visual Capitalist explains that the data measures website visits rather than individual users. One person can make multiple visits, and visits to different AI tools are counted separately. In addition, mobile-app sessions are excluded, meaning the figures do not represent all AI usage.
Overall, the data shows that AI usage is widespread across different regions. While the United States leads in total website visits, countries such as India, Brazil, Indonesia, and the Philippines also demonstrate substantial engagement with AI tools.
