10 Countries with the Most Hindus

Hinduism is one of the world's oldest religions and is followed by more than a billion people worldwide. While the faith originated in South Asia, migration and globalization have helped establish Hindu communities across many regions.

The countries with the largest Hindu populations vary greatly in both the number of adherents and their share of the national population.

India is by far the country with the largest Hindu population. Approximately 1.113 billion people in India identify as Hindu, representing about 79 percent of the country's population.
