Southeast Asia's telecommunications industry continues to play a crucial role in the region's digital transformation, connecting millions of people and supporting businesses through mobile networks, broadband services, and digital infrastructure.

According to the Fortune Southeast Asia 500, the region's leading telecommunications companies generated billions of US dollars in revenue, reflecting the importance of connectivity in increasingly digital economies.

Singapore Telecommunications, better known as Singtel, leads the ranking with revenue of US$11,065 million. As one of the region's major telecommunications groups, Singtel serves customers through connectivity services and digital solutions, maintaining a significant presence in Southeast Asia and beyond.

Its position at the top highlights Singapore's role as an important telecommunications and technology hub.

Indonesia's Telkom Indonesia ranks second, recording revenue of US$8,917.1 million. As the country's leading telecommunications group, it provides mobile, broadband, and digital services across one of the world's largest populations. Its substantial revenue reflects Indonesia's enormous demand for internet access and communications infrastructure.

Thailand's Advanced Info Service (AIS) occupies third place, generating US$6,887.7 million. It is followed by TRUE, another major Thai telecommunications operator, with US$5,965.4 million. The two companies demonstrate Thailand's importance in the regional telecom market, where mobile connectivity and high-speed internet remain essential services.

The Philippines also features prominently, with PLDT ranking fifth at US$3,797.3 million. Indonesia's Indosat follows in sixth place, earning US$3,434.5 million. Globe Telecom of the Philippines ranks seventh with US$3,099.2 million, highlighting the strong presence of telecommunications operators in the country's growing digital economy.

Malaysia contributes three companies to the top 10. CelcomDigi ranks eighth with revenue of US$3,027.1 million, followed by Telekom Malaysia at US$2,773.4 million.

Axiata Group completes the ranking with US$2,746.8 million. Together, these companies reflect Malaysia's established telecommunications industry and its continued investment in connectivity and digital services.

The rankings reveal a competitive industry shaped by rising data consumption, expanding broadband access, and growing demand for digital services. While Singtel maintains a clear lead, major operators in Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia demonstrate the region's diverse telecommunications landscape.

As Southeast Asia accelerates its digital transformation, telecom companies will remain essential to economic development. Investments in network infrastructure, next-generation mobile technology, and reliable internet access will help businesses innovate, communities connect, and the region strengthen its position in the global digital economy.
