Asian Cities with the Most Billionaires

Asia is home to some of the world's fastest-growing economies, and its major cities have become powerful centers of wealth creation. The latest billionaire counts reveal how economic growth, entrepreneurship, technology, finance, and manufacturing have concentrated enormous fortunes in a handful of urban hubs across the continent.

Leading the list is Shenzhen, with 132 billionaires. Once a small fishing town, Shenzhen has transformed into China's technology powerhouse, home to some of the country's largest technology and innovation companies.

Close behind is Shanghai with 120 billionaires, reflecting its role as China's financial and commercial capital. Beijing ranks third with 107 billionaires, benefiting from its position as the nation's political, technological, and business center.

India's financial capital, Mumbai, is fourth with 95 billionaires. The city remains the heart of India's banking, finance, and corporate sectors. Hong Kong follows with 88 billionaires, maintaining its status as one of Asia's leading financial centers despite recent economic challenges.

Several other Chinese cities feature prominently. Hangzhou has 65 billionaires, while Guangzhou has 41, and Suzhou and Ningbo each have 39 and 32 billionaires respectively. These cities highlight China's continued dominance in manufacturing, technology, and export-driven industries.

India also has multiple entries beyond Mumbai. New Delhi hosts 64 billionaires, while Bengaluru, known as India's technology hub, is home to 30 billionaires.

Elsewhere in Asia, Singapore ranks with 59 billionaires, underscoring its importance as a global financial center. Taipei follows with 51 billionaires, while Bangkok has 40. Seoul and Jakarta have 32, while Tokyo has 31 billionaires

The list also extends beyond East and South Asia. Istanbul has 31 billionaires, while Dubai rounds out the ranking with 24.

Together, these cities illustrate where Asia's wealth is increasingly concentrated. From China's technology centers to India's business hubs and Southeast Asia's financial capitals, the region continues to generate billionaires at a pace unmatched by much of the world, reflecting its growing influence in the global economy.
