The world’s largest Hindu temples by area showcase the immense scale and historical depth of Hindu civilization, spanning multiple countries and centuries. Topping the list is Angkor Wat Temple in Cambodia, covering an astonishing 1,626,000 square meters. Originally built in the 12th century, Angkor Wat stands not only as the largest Hindu temple in the world, but also as one of humanity’s greatest architectural and cultural achievements.

In second place is BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham in the United States, with an area of 655,591 square meters. This modern marvel reflects the global spread of Hindu culture, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary construction on an unprecedented scale.

Close behind in third place is the Ranganathaswamy Temple in India, spanning 631,000 square meters, renowned for its vast complex, towering gopurams, and deep spiritual significance.
