Southeast Asia's Biggest Convenience Store Chains
Indomaret is the largest convenience store chain in Southeast Asia with 24,072 stores so far.
Convenience stores have become an essential part of everyday life across Southeast Asia, offering consumers quick access to groceries, drinks, household products, ready-to-eat meals, and other necessities.
The region is home to some of Asia’s largest retail networks, with thousands of outlets spread across major cities as well as smaller towns and rural communities.
At the top is Indomaret, Indonesia’s leading minimarket chain, with 24,072 stores as of the first quarter of 2026. Its enormous network gives the brand a presence in communities across the Indonesian archipelago.
Second is 7-Eleven Thailand, with around 14,800 stores. Thailand has one of the world's strongest 7-Eleven markets, making the chain a highly visible part of daily life and urban culture. Its stores are particularly common in Bangkok and other densely populated areas.
In Vietnam, WinMart+ has grown into one of the country's largest modern retail networks, reaching 5,000 stores in June 2026. The milestone reflects the rapid expansion of convenience and neighborhood retail throughout Vietnam.
The Philippines also has around 5,000 7-Eleven stores, making the brand one of the country's most recognizable convenience retailers. Meanwhile, Malaysia's 99 Speedmart has expanded rapidly, with its official store locator currently listing more than 3,200 stores and continuing to show new openings.
Further down the ranking are 7-Eleven Singapore, with around 450 stores, and G&G in Myanmar, with approximately 300 stores. Although their networks are considerably smaller than those of the regional leaders, they remain important players in their respective markets.
In Cambodia, 7-Eleven has around 110 stores, while Mini Big C in Laos operates approximately 60. At the bottom of this ranking is Hua Ho in Brunei, with around 15 stores.
Together, these chains demonstrate the diversity and scale of Southeast Asia's convenience-store industry. From Indonesia's massive Indomaret network to smaller national chains in Brunei and Laos, convenience retail continues to expand as consumers increasingly value accessibility, proximity, and speed.
