These ten countries are feeding the world with the most food exports.
Global agricultural trade remains one of the most important pillars of the world economy, helping countries supply food products across continents and maintain food security. In 2024, the world’s leading food exporters continued to dominate international markets through strong agricultural production, advanced logistics, and growing global demand.
The United States ranked as the world’s largest food exporter in 2024, recording agricultural exports worth $181.3 billion and accounting for 12.1% of global agricultural exports.
The country’s strength lies in products such as soybeans, corn, wheat, meat, and processed foods. Its highly mechanized farming sector and extensive export infrastructure continue to give the U.S. a major competitive advantage.
Brazil followed in second place with $144.4 billion in exports and a 9.7% global share. While China is known as a major importer of food, it is also a significant exporter of seafood, vegetables, fruits, and processed agricultural products. Canada secured fourth place with exports totaling $66.3 billion and a 4.4% global share. Wheat, canola, barley, and seafood remain among Canada’s most valuable agricultural products. Mexico followed closely with $49.9 billion and 3.3%, driven by exports of avocados, berries, tomatoes, and beer.
Indonesia also achieved a 3.3% global share with agricultural exports worth $49.7 billion. Palm oil, coffee, cocoa, spices, and fisheries products remain key contributors to Indonesia’s export success. Australia ranked seventh with $45.8 billion and 3.1%, supported by beef, wheat, wool, and dairy exports.
India exported $45.5 billion worth of agricultural goods in 2024, accounting for 3.0% of global exports. Rice, spices, tea, and seafood continue to strengthen India’s position in world trade.
