The Oldest Population in Southeast Asia, 2022

Thailand becomes the country with the highest ageing population in Southeast Asia!

Based on data from the UN World Population Prospects 2022, reporting on ageing populations by calculating the percentage of the population above 65 years old. Thailand has the highest percentage with 15.21%, followed closely by Singapore with 15.12%. On the other hand, Laos has the lowest elderly population in Southeast Asia with only 4.45%.
